Invited guest speaker: Mr. Sean O'Brien from Orchard Supply Hardware. Mr. O’Brien
has a degree in Horticultural Science from Cal Poly and has many years experience as a
landscape contractor and owns his own landscaping company. Sean will be speaking on
California Native Plants and will describe what they are, how to install and care for them in a
drought environment, and their limitations. He will also discuss drip systems, and give
examples of them and how to install and use them effectively. Bring your landscaping
questions, as we will allow time for a question and answer period, after the presentation.

| Wednesday, October 14, 2009 Join us on Wednesday, October 14, at the Payne School MP Room for our first “Goin’ Green” Information night. Come learn how to be energy efficient, recycling savvy, water wise and much more. You’ll get great tips on how you can save money and help our environment! We will have a lineup of fantastic guest speakers and the great information they’re sure to provide will make this an evening you won’t want to miss. | STWNA Dumpster Day Announced! |
| Saturday, October 17, 2009 One of the most popular events that happens in the neighborhood is the “neighborhood dumpster day”. This is a great opportunity for all of us to get rid of that trash that we have been meaning to take to the refuse heap. Our plans are to have two dumpsters, strategically placed in San Jose and Campbell to serve all of our members. Additionally, non members will be able to dispose of items for a fee. More details will be forthcoming. |
